For more than two decades, Dr. Kent watched the same scene repeat itself in his clinic.
A patient would walk in with thickened, yellowing nails.
He'd recommend the standard protocol — topical creams, soaks, sometimes oral medications. Weeks later, the patient would return.
The nail looked slightly better. A few months after that, the same issue was back. Sometimes worse than before.
"I started keeping track," Dr. Kent says. "Roughly 8 out of 10 patients I treated with conventional methods saw the problem return within a year. That's not a treatment — that's a cycle that ruins people's confidence."
The turning point came when Dr. Kent began studying why nail issues kept returning even after visible improvement.
This, Dr. Kent argues, is why most surface-level products fall short. They address what's visible. They don't reach the nail bed where the real conditions exist.
"What most people call 'nail fungus' is the visible part of a much deeper issue."
"By the time you see the yellowing or thickening, the nail bed environment itself has already changed — moisture, pH, micro-channels under the nail plate. The discoloration on the surface isn't the cause. It's the symptom of an environment you can't see."
After years of frustration, Dr. Kent began looking for a different format — something designed not as another cream, but as a precision-application system that could reach below the nail edge.
